On August 29, Kuai Technology highlighted feedback from netizens in the Xiaomi community, indicating that the initial batch of internal beta versions of Xiaomi Pengpai OS 3 has been released. Users who qualify for this internal testing can verify if they have received the update by navigating to their phone settings under ‘My device’ and checking the version number.
The update for the Mi 15 Pro is 7.7GB, while the Mi 15 Ultra is 9GB. This significant system upgrade may result in longer shutdown and restart times, so users should ensure their devices are charged and allow time for the process. While user data remains untouched during the update, it is wise to back up important data as a precaution.
Following the update, the system will undergo extensive optimizations aimed at enhancing user experience. Consequently, devices might temporarily exhibit increased heat and power consumption, which should normalize within 1-3 days.
This first beta release of the Xiaomi Pengpai OS 3 is available for eight models: Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro, Xiaomi 15S Pro, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, REDMI K80 Pro, REDMI K80 Supreme Edition, Xiaomi Tablet 7 Pro, and Xiaomi Tablet 7S Pro 12.5.
