TechDeals has no accounts and no advertising trackers. We collect very little, and this page lists all of it.
Who we are
techdeals.net is operated by the following company, which is the data controller for this site:
Contact: contact@techdeals.net
What we collect
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the store you chose (for example Amazon US), only to send you the deals email. Ask us at any time and we delete it.
- Clicks to Amazon. When you click through to Amazon we record which deal was clicked, the page you came from and your country (as reported by our hosting provider). We do not store your IP address, and these records are not tied to you.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and deals are useful: pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, and clicks to Amazon. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) and does not store full IP addresses. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked first, and Analytics only runs if they accept.
We do not use advertising cookies or social media trackers. To opt out of Google Analytics anywhere, you can use Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Amazon
As an Amazon Associate, techdeals.net earns from qualifying purchases. When you click a deal you leave our site for Amazon, which may set its own cookies to credit the referral. What Amazon collects is covered by Amazon's privacy notice, not this one.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: hosting and content delivery.
- Supabase: the database that stores deals, clicks and newsletter subscribers.
- Google Fonts: the site's typefaces, loaded from Google's servers.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC): visit statistics, as described above.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Union, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe. Click records: up to 24 months, then deleted or kept only as anonymous totals. Google Analytics data: deleted after the retention period set in Google Analytics (at most 14 months).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or ask for a copy. Write to contact@techdeals.net and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
