Monitor and Desk Setup Deals: Gaming Screens, Docks and Switches (November 2026)

guide · updated November 6, 2026

A good desk setup is usually a monitor plus one cable to the laptop. Here are the monitors on sale right now, grouped by use, and the docks that tie everything together. Prices are on the cards.

Competitive gaming: high refresh rate

For fast shooters, refresh rate matters most. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG249QM5A is a 24-inch Full HD Fast IPS panel at 240Hz, with a 0.3ms minimum response time and both FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC compatibility.

If you want more pixels at a high refresh rate, the Acer Nitro KG271U is a 27-inch WQHD IPS monitor at 320Hz, with up to 0.5ms response and 90% DCI-P3 color coverage.

Ultrawide: games and multitasking

A 34-inch 21:9 screen fits two windows side by side. The Samsung Odyssey G5 has a 1000R curve, 3440 × 1440 resolution and 165Hz, and is the best seller among the monitors on sale.

LG's 34G600A-B offers the same resolution at 160Hz, with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort and a stand that adjusts for tilt, height and swivel.

Office and everyday use

The Samsung S3 is a 27-inch curved Full HD monitor at 100Hz with built-in speakers, for desktop and business use.

For travel, the ASUS ZenScreen MB16AHV is a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS screen that weighs 907 g, connects over USB-C or Mini-HDMI, and has a fold-out kickstand.

One cable to the laptop: docks

A dock connects your monitors, keyboard, Ethernet and charger through a single cable. The UGREEN 8-in-1 Thunderbolt 4 dock drives two 4K displays at 60Hz and has three Thunderbolt 4 ports, three USB-A ports and Ethernet. It works with Windows, macOS, Thunderbolt 3/4, USB4 and USB-C.

For a USB-C laptop without Thunderbolt, the Baseus docking station has HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, three USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, card readers, and passes up to 85W of charging to the laptop.

Several devices, one screen

If a console, a streaming box and a laptop share one display, an HDMI switch saves swapping cables. The Anker switch takes four HDMI inputs into one output at 4K 60Hz and comes with a remote.
